Creation of contacts

There are different ways in which contacts can be created in SFDC:

 

  • Manual creation of contacts:  SFDC Users (Sales, Ops) are able to create new contacts by populating the following mandatory fields:
  • Contact currency
  • Last name

N.B.: Even though these are the only mandatory fields, it is a best practice to enter as much information as possible, such as full name, email address, account name, country, job title, etc.

 

  • Marketing: Automatic creation of contacts through filling out forms for events/webinars/webpage/hand raises with the following fields:
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Headquarter Country
  • Record type according to prospect
  • Number of locations (if prospect is Direct)
  • Number of clients under management (If prospect Partner)
  • Type of clients under management (If Partner)
  • Self Reported Attribution
  • Phone
  • Email
  • Job Title
  • Company
  • Conversion URL (hidden)
  • Gclid (hidden)

 

  • Cognism: Contacts can be exported from Cognism to SFDC (Contact lead source: Cognism), populating the following fields (this depends on the contact and the data that is loaded into Cognism):
  • First name
  • Last name 
  • Company name
  • Job Title
  • Phone numbers: Mobile/Direct/Office/HQ
  • Email address
  • Seniority
  • Company Headcount
  • Company Industry
  • Company Revenue
  • Department
  • Person Country/State/City
  • Personal Linkedin URL
  • Company Website
  • Company Country/State/City/Address/Zip Code
  • Company Linkedin Handle
  • Company Type: Public/ Private
  • Company Tech

 

  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator: contacts are exported from LISN to SFDC by using Cognism extension. This will create the contact in SFDC using Cognism as Lead Source.  

How are contacts enriched?

Contacts in SFDC get enriched through Cognism. This can be done by manually searching the contact in Cognism, or uploading a list of contacts and exporting the information from this tool to SFDC. 

 

The only automated enrichment at the moment is when a contact is created. 

 

The following fields are enriched after the contact creation (always depending on the information available in Cognism for each contact):

  • First name
  • Last name 
  • Company name
  • Job Title
  • Phone numbers: Mobile/Direct/Office/HQ
  • Email address
  • Seniority
  • Company Headcount
  • Company Industry
  • Company Revenue
  • Department
  • Person Country/State/City
  • Personal Linkedin URL
  • Company Website
  • Company Country/State/City/Address/Zip Code
  • Company Linkedin Handle
  • Company Type: Public/ Private
  • Company Tech
