How to set location to permanently closed?

Last updated on August 11th, 2025

Use the Permanently Closed status when a location has ceased operations permanently and will no longer reopen. This helps keep your listings accurate by removing closed locations from directories, preventing customer confusion, and ensuring your business information stays up to date.

If your business is temporarily closed for more than 7 days with an intent to reopen, or closed for the off-season, use the status Temporarily closed. For closures of 7 days or less, please set Special Opening Hours.

    Please note:

    • When a location is marked permanently closed, it will be removed from directories, when available or marked as "Closed"
    • The location will continue to be billed until the end of the current subscription period.

How to Set a Location as Permanently Closed

    1. Go to the Location Hub on the Uberall platform.
    2. Find and click on the location you want to modify to open its profile.
    3. On the Basic Data tab, under General Info, click Change status.
    4. Toggle the option to set the location as Temporarily closed or Permanently closed.
      • Temporarily closed: The location will still receive updates and maintain a presence on directories, but will show as temporarily closed on certain platforms. Best used for closures longer than a week. For closures less than a week, use the Special Opening Hours section.
      • Permanently closed: The listing will be marked permanently closed on all platforms. Once closed, the location cannot be actively managed or updated through the platform. To reopen a permanently closed location, please contact support.
    5. Click Save Changes to apply immediately or Schedule for later to set the change at a future date.
