Google’s Response to the Listing Request If Google Accepts the Data If Google Rejects the Data Common Reason for Rejection: Missing Cleansing How to Proceed After Rejection Step 1: Cleanse the Location Step 2: Retry the Creation Call Prolonged Review Status: What to Do Google Guidelines for Rebranding or Moving Locations If the New Location is within 5 km of the Old One: If the New Location is more than 5 km away:

When you connect your Google account and sync your locations in Uberall, the platform automatically checks if each location already has an existing Google Business Profile (GBP).

For locations without a GBP, Uberall submits a request to Google to create a new business profile.

Google’s Response to the Listing Request

After the request is submitted, Google will either accept or reject the listing data.

    If Google Accepts the Data

    • A new listing is created.
    • You can view the listing in Uberall under on the location's profile page under Listings > Google.
    • If verification is needed you can now proceed with the verification process.

    If Google Rejects the Data

Common Reason for Rejection: Missing Cleansing

If the location was not cleansed before connecting to Google, the latitude and longitude (lat/long) are not included in the creation request.

As a result, Google may reject the submission due to incomplete or unverifiable address data.

    How to Proceed After Rejection

    Step 1: Cleanse the Location

The cleansing process ensures the address is complete and includes accurate lat/long data.

Step 2: Retry the Creation Call

Once cleansing is complete, Uberall will automatically:

    • Trigger a new API call to Google
    • Include lat/long with the address details
    • Successfully create the Google Business Profile

Prolonged Review Status: What to Do

If your listing remains in processing for more than one month, you should:

    • Contact operations@uberall.com
    • Request to prioritize the cleansing process

This can help expedite the resolution and listing creation.

Google Guidelines for Rebranding or Moving Locations

When rebranding or opening/moving a location, Google applies certain rules to avoid duplication and confusion.

If the New Location is within 5 km of the Old One:

    • Update the existing (old) listing instead of creating a new one.
    • A new listing may be flagged as a duplicate if it has the same:
      • Phone number
      • Business category
      • Name and/or address

If the New Location is more than 5 km away:

    • Mark the old location as closed
    • Create a new listing for the new location
