What is this?
The “Initial Map View” settings allows to customize the initial behavior of the integrated map, e.g. what it should show when a user first lands on the locator.
There are two different use-cases: whether the user should be asked for its location (and shares it) and what should be shown if not.

What options are there?
There are two main sections that can be configured: User Location and Default view.
User Location

When checking this option, the locator will ask on load if the current user wants to share the location. If we know the users location, we can then tailor the map accordingly. There are three options to choose from:
- Sort Locations by distance (default) - this option will not alter the map but only sort the locations in the left list by the distance to the users location
- Focus on user - this option will zoom in to the user and show the map centered around its shared position. The radius can be configured. If no locations are near the user, then no locations will be displayed.
- Smart Zoom - this option will try to zoom in to the users position while still keeping locations in view. The minimum amount of locations and the maximum radius can be configured.
Default

This setting will be used when the user is not asked for the location or declines to share it. There are two options to choose from:
- Show all locations (default) - the map zooms out to show all locations
- Custom center & zoom - allows to set lat/lng and zoom level to fully customize the frame of the map
