What Are Labels? Where Are Labels Created? How to Use Labels? Common Use Cases: Additional Features: Important Notes What are Admin-Only vs Public Labels? Best practices Examples of Useful Labels

    What Are Labels?

Labels are internal tags used to sort, group, and manage locations within the Uberall platform. They are not published to any directories and are only visible within your Uberall account.

For example, you might create labels like “Germany”, “Italy”, or “Outlet” to organize your locations by region, function, or campaign.

    Where Are Labels Created?

Labels can be added in the following  ways:

    1. In the Basic Data section of each location profile.
    2. They can also be included via Excel import when editing multiple locations at once
    3. Added to multiple locations at once via our In-App Bulk Editor

The label field is free text, allowing users to select from existing labels or create new ones. There is no limit to the number of labels you can create.

    How to Use Labels?

Labels are especially useful within the Feedback Management and Social modules. They allow you to filter reviews or post content to specific groups of locations using a shared label — for example, "Outlet", "Franchise 202", or "SW Region".

    Common Use Cases:

    • Segmented Posting: Target specific location groups with tailored content, such as promotional posts.
    • Review Filtering: Easily view and assess customer feedback for locations tied to a particular label (e.g., analyze reviews for all "Outlet" locations after a promotion).

    Additional Features:

    • You can apply multiple labels to a post, enabling you to include all locations that fall under any of the selected labels.
    • In Dashboard Insights, you can filter metrics and performance data based on labels, allowing for deeper analysis by group.

Tip: Use clear, purpose-driven labels to streamline operations, reporting, and communications

    Important Notes

    • Labels are strictly internal: they are never published to directories.
    • A single location can have multiple labels.
    • Filtering by a combination of labels (e.g., locations that have both Label A and Label B) is not supported.
To target that group, create a unique label (e.g., AandB).

What are Admin-Only vs Public Labels?

    • Public Labels:
Any user with label-edit rights can create and manage these. Once created, they’re available to all users.

    • Admin-Only Labels:
Only visible and manageable by Admin users. Admins can restrict visibility by marking a label as admin-only.

Both label types appear in exports under the Labels columns

    Best practices

    •  Avoid using special characters (e.g., +, &).
    • Use labels only when necessary — don’t over-label.

    Examples of Useful Labels
