The Google Location Import feature allows you to quickly import locations from your Google Business Profile into Uberall. It’s designed to support both small businesses and large resellers, making it easy to onboard anything from a single location to tens of thousands of locations at scale

    What is Google Location Import?

Google Location Import lets you connect your Google Business Profile account to Uberall and import locations directly—without manual data entry. You can:

    • Import locations in bulk
    • Import a single location
    • Choose which locations and groups to import
    • Decide whether to import only or import and immediately sync with Google
    • See detailed import results, including partial imports and failures

    Who can use this feature?

The feature is available to the following user roles:

    • Admin
    • Account Manager
    • Business Manager

How to access Google Location Import

    Navigate to Location Hub

Select Add New Location → Google Import

What you see next depends on whether you’ve imported locations before:

    • First-time users will see an empty state prompting them to connect Google
    • Returning users will see a table of previous imports, including:
      • Google account used
      • Number of locations
      • Import date
      • Status (In Progress, Completed, Failed, Partial)

    Start a new Google import

Click New Google Import (or Sign into Google Business Profile) to begin.

Step 1: Connect your Google account

You’ll be prompted to sign in via Google OAuth. Uberall will securely save the connection so you can reuse it later or switch accounts if needed

    Step 2: Select location groups

Once connected, you’ll see your Google location groups:

    • Group name and ID
    • Number of locations per group
    • Search by group name or ID

If your account only has one group, this step is skipped automatically

Step 3: Select locations to import

After choosing a group, you can select individual locations.

    For each location, you’ll see:

    • Location name
    • Address (or service area for SABs)
    • Store code
    • Verification status

    You can:

    • Search by name, address, or store code
    • Select or deselect locations using checkboxes
    • Navigate large lists using pagination

Selected locations are visually highlighted in the table

    Step 4: Choose a business

    You can either:

    • Import locations into an existing business, or
    • Create a new business

    Default behavior:

    • If you already have businesses, “Import to existing business” is selected by default
    • If you have no businesses, a new business is created automatically

If you’re importing only one location into a new business, Uberall will prefill fields like business name and address based on the location data

    Step 5: Review & Import

On the Review & Import screen, you choose how and where your locations will be imported.

    Import options

    You can choose between:

Import – imports locations into Uberall without starting a sync

Import & Sync – imports locations and immediately starts syncing them with Google

Step 6: Import results & status

After starting an import, you can track its progress from the Google Import table.

    Possible statuses:

    • In Progress – status updates automatically
    • Completed
    • Completed with Errors
    • Failed

    Failed or partially imported locations

If some locations fail to import, Uberall shows exactly what went wrong.

    You can:

    • View failed locations
    • Retry the import
    • Download an error report (CSV) containing:
      • Location identifier
      • Address
      • Reason for failure

    Common failure rules

Missing primary category → location is not imported

Missing secondary category → location is imported without that category

Unsupported attributes → location is imported, unsupported fields are reported

Even if some fields can’t be imported, Uberall will import everything it can and mark the result as a partial import

    Why use Google Location Import?

    • Faster onboarding for large and small accounts
    • Scales to tens of thousands of locations
    • Reduces manual work and operational support
    • Clear visibility into import success and issues
