If a location closes permanently, you can update its status across all connected directories directly from the Uberall platform

IMPORTANT : Marking a location as Permanently Closed will update its status across all connected directories. If you need to change the status after marking a location as permanently closed, you must contact Support .

If your location is temporarily closed (for example, due to renovations or other short-term reasons), please use the Temporarily Closed status or Special Opening Hours instead.

    Closing a Location in Uberall

Locations can be marked as permanently closed either individually or in bulk.

    Close a Single Location

    1. Navigate to the Location Profile of the location you want to close.
    2. On the Basic Data tab, go to the Status section,
    3. Enable Permanently Closed option
    4. A confirmation dialog will appear.
      • Select Save now to apply the change immediately, or
      • Select Schedule for later to choose a future date and time. If you schedule the change, complete the scheduling flow to confirm.

    Close Multiple Locations (Bulk Editor)

    1. Open the Bulk Editor.
    2. Select the locations you want to close.
    3. On the Basic Data tab, go to the Status section,
    4. Enable Permanently Closed option
    5. On the review screen, Select Save now to apply the change immediately, or Select Schedule for later to choose a future date and time.
    6. Confirm the action.

What Happens After Saving or Scheduling

    • Immediate changes
When saved, the selected location(s) are automatically marked as Permanently Closed across all connected directories.

    • Scheduled changes
Once the scheduled date and time are reached, the location(s) will automatically be marked as Permanently Closed across all connected directories. No manual action is required.

    Time Zone Considerations:

    • Scheduled closures are applied based on the location’s timezone, not the user’s timezone.

    Required Permissions:

To mark locations as closed, users need the following permissions:

    • Location_Scheduled_Updates
    • Location_Status_Change

For bulk actions, the Bulk_Edits permission is also required.

    API Limitations:

    • Scheduling updates is not currently available through the API. It is assumed the client can manage these updates directly from their side if using the API.
