Messages

Web Chat

Web Chat is a new channel that is now supported within the Messages inbox. With this release, businesses can now manage engagements from the website or local pages right within CoreX. The Web Chat set up is like other channels (i.e., Google Messages or Facebook Messenger), however will require that a code snippet be applied to the desired pages of the website.

Once enabled, users can manage incoming website messages within 24 hours using the Messages tab in CoreX.

Share Menus & Catalogues

Content Collections can now be used to power the Messages Chat Bot by providing more data points, enhancing the overall functionality. The Chat Bot will now utilize the details from the Menu, Product, and/or Services Content Collections to help answer and display options available as it pertains to the customers inquiry.

Mission Control

Bulk Locations Editor in Platform

With this release, we have introduced a new way to manage location data in bulk. Previously, users could only use a spreadsheet to update multiple location profiles which may be overwhelming. In addition to the spreadsheet updates, users can now update locations in bulk directly in the platform via a new user-friendly interface. TLS version 1.0 and 1.1 API Support

Beginning on May 30, Uberall will no longer support backward compatibility to TLS version 1.0/1.1 via APIs. The change is being made for security reasons in concert with other technology partners such as, Google, Apple, Microsoft and Mozilla.

TLS (Transport Layer Security) is a security protocol first defined in 1999 for HTTPS to establish encryption channels over public networks. TLS 1.2 is the upgrade to 1.0/1.1 to address potential security weaknesses in 1.0/1.1. Uberall's technology, UI and APIs don't use TLS 1.0/1.1, and are all encrypted using the preferred protocol HTTPS/TLS 1.3. Uberall also continues to support TLS 1.2.

After May 30, any partners' or customers' API requests using the outdated security protocol TLS 1.0/1.1 will fail. Based on our monitoring, it doesn't appear that any Uberall customers or partners use TLS 1.0/1.1 API calls, but this notification is for your awareness.

Additional Platform Updates

  • Single Sign On (SSO)
    • In addition to SAML 2.0, Microsoft Azure Active Directory is now supported as an option for SSO to the Uberall platform

Locator & Local Pages Updates

Performance Improvements

We have added content distribution networks and caching to our Locator and Local Pages. Users will see decreased load times for pages and their assets. This will benefit SEO as a ranking factor and improve the overall consumer experience.

Unique Local Page Meta Descriptions

Users will be able to add more placeholders to the Local Page Meta Descriptions. Previously, users only had the option to add the address placeholder limiting how unique the meta descriptions could be per page. With this update, businesses will be able to further localize the description making it more unique per page and helping in local SEO.

Locator: Mapbox Option

With this update, we are adding an additional option for the map that is displayed on the store locator page. Businesses will now be able to choose between a Google Map or a customizable Map box to be displayed on the store locator page. Speak with your Success Manager to determine which option is best for your business.

Review Tile Pages

Previously, the Reviews Tile only showed five reviews. With this update the Reviews Tile adds pages to extend the capacity of visible reviews.

Mobile App Updates

New App Settings

Users will find a newly refreshed settings page within the Mobile App. The New App Settings gives users more control to update their user profile, manage their password, and better define the app notifications right from their mobile device.
