When a new location is added, the system automatically validates the address using the Google Geocoding API.
- The address is corrected (if needed) according to Google’s data.
- The location then goes through our internal quality checks, including address validation and accurate pin placement.
Sometimes, when you try to change an address, it may revert back after clicking Save. This usually happens when the address does not match Google’s accepted format. Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
Step 1: Verify the Address
- Ensure the address you’re entering follows the official address guidelines.
- Use this link to input the address or coordinates and retrieve the version recognized as Google’s “source of truth.”
Note: A location’s administrative/legal address may not be accepted if it doesn’t follow the proper address format.
Step 2: Check the Address in Google Maps
- Open Google Maps.
- Right-click on your business location and select “What’s here?”.
- Google will display the address and geo-coordinates (latitude and longitude) it associates with the spot.
Request an Address Change
If you’ve already completed Steps 1 & 2 but believe your address is correct, or if your location has multiple valid addresses, please provide the following to our support team:
- The URL of the Location Profile in Uberall – this provides the unique identifier for your location.
- Desired address – the version you’d like applied.
- Google Maps link – including the desired coordinates (as explained in Step 2).
Our team will review and validate the information to confirm accuracy before updating the record.
