Locator + Pages Components

Last updated on November 30th, 2023

The Locator and Pages widget is composed of two main components – Locator and Pages:

  • The Locator is a map view of locations
  • The Pages are specific landing pages for each location

Further components are the Locator and Pages widget header and footer. The Locator widget can be embedded in the HTML code of every website. In the following sections the elements of each component are explained more in-depth.

Locator

Generally, Locator will always have a list of Locations on the left side along with a search bar and the map on the right side.

Location list

The order of the displayed Locations depends on whether the user has enabled Location services for the Locator.

  • If so, Locations are ordered by distance - the Location closest to you will be shown first
  • Otherwise, the order will be determined by creation date of the Location - newly created Locations will be added to the end of the Location list

Map

The Map View will show all Locations that are assigned to the specific Locator and Pages widget – world wide. The position on the map is taken from the geo-coordinates of the Location data. If multiple Locations are close to each other then these Locations will be clustered and the count of the clustered Locations will be displayed.

If the user has enabled Location services, the map view will automatically zoom to the nearest Location.

In the default configuration of the Locator, the following information will be displayed:
