User Data Collection for Locator & Pages

Description of the Uberall User Data collection for Locator & Pages

Last updated on June 4th, 2021

This article describes the collection and use of User Data by Uberall for its Locator & Pages product.

What is Collected

When using the Locator & Pages product, Uberall stores the requester's IP address. This happens automatically upon accessing the Locator. No other information about the user is collected this way. The logging isn't intended to track users, it happens systematically for any request done to the Locator.

How it's Being Used

Uberall collects this data for debugging purposes only. If there is an issue with the products, the IP address is very useful for grouping events together and identifying trends. Debugging & investigation are the only use for those IP addresses.

How it's Being Disposed of

Every IP address part of the Locator & Pages log is changed to 0.0.0.0 after a full year of being in our system. Uberall has no more use for this IP address after the full year and removes it from the log entry in the database. This cleanup process is executed on a daily basis. Once this is complete, there is no more trace of the IP address.
