What happens when an end user suggests edits to my location on Google?

Last updated on July 15th, 2025

Google allows any user to suggest edits to a business profile. These community-driven contributions help Google keep listings accurate and up-to-date.

When Google deems a suggestion credible and approves it, it becomes a Google update.

How Our Platform Handles Google Updates

When a Google update is published:

    • Our platform does not overwrite the update on your Google listing.
    • Instead, we pull the update into your Location Hub as a Profile Suggestion.
    • This ensures you're always aware of any changes made directly on Google.

    Note

If you ignore the suggestion, we will try to update the location's profile, but it is Google's decision to accept/reject the update coming from our platform after reviewing it on their side.
